About Our Instructors

Our instructors are required to have at least one year of experience working with children, at least 21 units (7 classes) at the college college/university level, and an excellent drawing and painting portfolio. Most of our instructors have a Bachelors degree or higher in fine art. All instructors are thoroughly trained by our director in drawing, painting, and art education before teaching in the classroom. See these amazing pieces done by our instructors during our Little Artists Teacher Training Sessions!

About Our Director

Little Artists was established in October, 2000 by Director, Owner and Head Teacher Steve Symington.  Steve received his Bachelor’s in December, 1998 from Azusa Pacific University, in Azusa, CA.  While attending Azusa Pacific, he majored in Liberal Studies with an art concentration and played football for the Cougars for 3 years.  He has worked with children since 1990 and has been teaching art since 1998.  Steve and his family (above) have worked very hard to open the 5 Little Artists locations that provide instruction in drawing and painting for kids aged 4-18.

Thoughts from Director Steve Symington:  “Over the years, our teaching family has grown, and I have seen, first hand, the benefits of art classes for my very own kids. We are very fortunate to have such a great team of talented teachers. We strive to put highly qualified teachers in our classrooms to assure the very best education for our students.”
